Who Are You Planning to Propose to?

Posted by Fisayo Adeyemi on June 4th, 2011

Who do you want to propose to? My eight years old cousin asked me yesterday.

She saw me reading How to Write Proposals & Reports that Get Results by Ros Jay so she assumed I was going to propose to a woman.

Anyway, what caught my attention in the book was the overly repeated fact that you need to know who your prospects are. You need to know the audience that will read that thing you are writing; your sales letter for example.

I don’t know how long this writing will be by the time I finish, but I want to point out to you before I go on that, knowing your target audience may not make much sense to you now. In fact, you may not know how to begin researching your target audience or understand how to do this well enough at this moment (though it’s worth paying serious attention to), but there is no need to worry

The Time is Right to Start up your Internet Based Business

Posted by Fisayo Adeyemi on May 20th, 2011

The economy has been tough for a long time now and that has made many people afraid to start up a business. They don’t want to risk it failing and so they are just frozen where they are. Their dream of that happening though hasn’t changed and they long for the day when they can be calling the shots for their business to make them money and to serve needs of a particular market.

Yet it is so much for than that for many people. They are tired of worrying if they will have a job when they get to work the following day. Hours have been cut, people they worked with have been laid off, and they feel it is just a matter of time until it is their turn. The lack of job options has everyone on edge

Passion for a Hot Market should have Priority over making Money

Posted by Fisayo Adeyemi on May 11th, 2011

There are two main objectives that you want to look for when you choose the hot market that you will use for your online business. First, you have to have a strong passion for that type of business. Second it has to be able to make you money. Passion for it though should be a priority over making money. Without that in place your business will be hollow and you won’t be able to make it last.

By the same token you really won’t enjoy it. Sure, that money may be nice at first but you will hate what you have to do in terms of operating your business. You won’t be interested in discovering new ideas, in creating new products or services, or in addressing any issues that consumers have brought to your attention. That is no way to operate a business and it will soon start to crumble all around you

Exploring One of the Challenges of being an Online Marketer

Posted by Fisayo Adeyemi on March 12th, 2011

When you think about starting any online business, there are going to be various challenges that come to mind. One of them that you might not be completely prepared for though is the way your friends and your family react to the idea. I found it to be extremely hard to deal with. From time to time I still have to defend myself to them today so be ready for it.

The problem is that most people don’t really understand what someone involved with online marketing really does. It can be tough to explain it to them quickly too. This is due to the lingo and specific nature of that type of work. Realistically, this type of work changes all the time. That makes it even more difficult to really define all of it to those that aren’t associated with it.

What I have discovered is that when some friends and family find out I am involved with online marketing they have their own perceptions. They imagine me selling products on eBay, doing surveys, or even

Use SWOT Analysis to Improve your Position in your Niche Market

The SWOT analysis method can help you to put things into perspective for your business. It allows you to improve your position within your niche market too. This is a type of do it on your own step by step guide that can help you to see where you are doing well and where you should make some improvements. I have used SWOT to help me make sound business decisions.

The idea is for you to have a business structure that is very good from the inside out. It has to offer plenty of strength so that you can continue to build on top of it. Upwards and outwards are the two directions you want your business to go – without crumbling beneath it all. In order to do this you have to be able to continually offer your niche market exactly what they want

Reach Your Life-Long Dream By The Simple Mastery and Consistent Use Of Pen & Paper

In this issue:

  • How a simple but strategic work plan can lead you to wealth by the end of the year
  • How to draft a personal strategic plan template you can alter to suit your target goals year after year
  • Where to look to quickly fix a plan you can easily follow for the rest of this year

In my report, Obscurity to Preeminence, I mentioned how important it is to set goals and how I learned to set and work them. I didn’t go into details because that could be covered in a whole book on its own.

Goal is to your business what GPS and maps are to you. When you have a goal, you always know what needs to be done and what to do next; since your mind can play tricks on you if you want to leave your plans to what your memory dictates – something may be missing.

Setting and following goal is a simple things but not easy to draft… Even more difficult is to follow it through – because it is hard work on its own.

However, if you practice it for a try and see how much you get done when you followed it, you’d never want to work without a plan ever again.

Your big goal if broken down into components, becomes a personal plan that you’d follow on a daily basis. The strategic planning process involve how to work that target goal into a daily or weekly plan and activities you can easily get done – one after another.

For example if your target goal is to own a house in Beverly Hills and drive a Bugati in four years time. You may want to draft a plan based on how you can make $200,000 quarterly.

To do that you may need to do these things

1. Learn a financially viable skill
2. Figure how to deliver value so people can pay you money for contributing your skill to their lives or businesses
3. Invest your earned money so it can generate more money. Stuffs like local real estate and stocks
4. Earn more money than you spend
5. Save
6. Start a business of your own (That’s where the real money is anyway)

The six points above would involve that you break them down too.

Eventually, your goal of owning a house in Beverly Hills and driving a Bugati in four years time would become a strategically analyzed plan broken down into biennial goals, annual goals, biannual goals, quarterly goals, monthly goals, weekly goals and daily goals.

Setting a goal is not something you do with your mind. You do it only by making a record of it; on pen and paper or by making audio or video record of it.
